The rift between the TDP and the BJP would be a cause of worry for the BJP led government. The TDP is the party’s close ally in the south. And due to the series of developments that would led to the ‘breaking apart’ from the BJP.
It all started when the Union Budget that was presented on Saturday by the Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely that had no good package for the Andhra Pradesh made the TDP chief Mr. ChandraBabu Naidu furious on this. Few sources even indicate that it is just a matter of time that the parties would choose separate ways.
The Union Budget allocated Rs. 350 crores to the Andhra Pradesh State and about Rs. 100 crores for the proposed Polavaram project. This allocated figures made the Mr. Naidu angry that he made an effort to make the last ditch by having a ‘closed door’ meeting with actor Pavan Kalyan for his support over the issue.
The “closed doors” meeting went on for about one-and-half-hour. The details were not made public. There is no official statement from the political party nor the actor through a press conference or the press release.
Mr. Naidu said that the central government failed to fulfil the promises made during the polls regarding the funds allocation to the Andhra Pradesh. He felt that it was unfair for giving A.P. less allocated money.
